Bubbles Pop! sparkling event, as part of the Wine to Asia in the City series, will kick off the summer on May 29, presenting 40+ charming sparkling wines from 12 countries at SERA Wine Bistro in Shenzhen. Within the exciting sparkling line-up, UK premium sparkling will appear as a seductive new category, ready to take over the wine market and consumers likes.

English sparkling wine has experienced something of a meteoric rise over the past few years. Commencing in the 1950s, production has grown to over 6 million bottles and is forecast to exceed 40 Million bottles by 2040. According to IWSR, UK-produced sparkling wine sales volume rose by almost 11 percent from 2015-2020.

- Special terroir

The main wine production area in the UK is Southern England, which presents similar conditions of soil and climate to those found in the Champagne region at the beginning of the 20th century.

The Bubbles Pop! sparkling wine event is proud to showcase the wines and styles of three boutique UK wineries, located in Sussex and Kent. Each of these farms provides their own interpretation of the best tradition of sparkling winemaking by crafting their sparkling in the traditional method only, and creating styles reflecting their own terroir and winemaking journey…

哈斯·海尔斯庄园是一家在2002年成立的家庭式酒庄，在肯特郡拥有85英亩的葡萄园。酒庄仅种植传统葡萄品种，一直以来都秉承着环境保护和可持续性的核心理念。丰富、浓郁的果味和微甜的风格是它家风格的代表。

Hush Heath opened as a family-run estate on 85 acres land in Kent in 2002 and is since then crafting wines according to the principles of sustainability and conservation. The use of traditional grape varieties made in rich, fruit-forward and slightly off-dry styles is the house signature.

Grapes: Chardonnay dominant, supported by the fullness of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier

Aging: 16 months

Light gold colour with a fine persistent mousse. Gentle honey notes balance clean, crisp pear and white peach aromas. An outstanding celebration wine and a great accompaniment to shellfish and canapés.
